The only way to protect and mitigate risk of a client’s application and APIs is to be intimately close to the inner working of how it operates. Taking a page out of the founder’s previous company, we provided a service that tracked, monitored, and connected the dots throughout a customers application. From this dashboard, customers could monitor health from the 1 foot to 1,000 foot point of view, then address issues.

There’s a difference between events that are active within the system, and those we’ve handled. As a business, there’s a measure of effectiveness that comes with these screens. The less active the better, the more blocked the better, yet it was critical we were able to show just how much we were delivering value.

We used a set of parameters to calculate risk scores for any APIs. Based on the likelihood of an attack from a bad actor, and the impact of any possible threat, we assessed a risk score. In addition, agents were allowed to customize their risk levels and the criticality of any metric that contributed to their score.
